more of life's little treasures

Dear husband, Jeremy, spotted this little gem between the Purple Martin houses as I was seeing him off to work.

It was an exceptionally dewy morning and the web looked just like a tiny string of pearls.

This is the same photo, but magnified a whole lot. Pardon the lack of clarity, but here you can see the little "strings of pearls."

I nearly called my boys outside to come and see, but my boys are so rough-and-tumble, I was sure the web would be gone in no more than 3 seconds.

There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.
