I Have Noticed...

...that when I send an email to nearly anyone whom I have never emailed before my email is nearly always filtered out as spam or junk. I guess my email address sounds like a spammer or something. It's so aggravating.

Anyway, wasn't that a completely random thought?

I got an email from someone the other day asking me to put an ad on a website I didnt own , it turned out to be a spam , have you looked at using a different email account for contacting people for the first time ? I keep one just for such purposes as craigslist of freecycle so I dont have to stare at or sort spam all the time.

I actually had never thought of that, but it's a good idea. My email address is gmail and I've had it since it was in invitation only beta in '04...long before it was open to the general public. That may explain why it's often filtered. I'm sort of attached to it though because it's actually my name. Makes it easy to remember. :-)

Mine used to do that! I would get emails back about a week later saying "I found this in my spam sorry it took so long to get back to you" It was frustrating.. My address is a yahoo address and my name... nothing spammy about that :)

Quite random, yes. But none-the-less interesting. LOL
